Mater Salvatoris School, with more than 40 years of experience, is a pioneering School when it comes to organising English courses abroad.
The Summer Course in Ireland, lasting four weeks in July, is a wonderful experience which allows students to enjoy complete linguistic immersion by living with an Irish family.
Living together daily makes self-expression in English essential, and participating in everyday family life with the members of the family provides an excellent opportunity to widen vocabulary and acquire increased fluency.
The programme has been developed over many years, and the excitement with which the students return to Spain and the linguistic improvement that can be noted during the course demonstrate the programme’s success. For them it is, without doubt, an unforgettable experience.
The students are hosted in carefully selected Irish families, who create a warm and welcoming environment. They all live in the towns of Athlone, Ballinasloe and Roscommon, which are close to each other and about 75 miles from Dublin.
The lessons are truly active and dynamic and are always given by native teachers. The method used is mainly group learning through carrying out projects.
The students are also accompanied at all times by teachers from the School and by leaders, many of whom have participated in the experience as students during their school years.
As well as lessons, students are offered a complete programme of activities which allow newly-gained knowledge to be consolidated and broadened in a more fun way, such as cooking classes, debates, workshops…
Special importance is given to sports activities and weekend trips to different places of historic and cultural interest and for leisure, which allow students to enrich themselves by learning about Irish customs and culture.
For School students and their siblings aged 11+.
